Toppings for Bread Pudding
Bourbon Sauce Recipe (For Bread Pudding)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup bourbon
Directions:
Combine sugar, butter, vanilla extract and egg in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Still until sugar dissolves.
Once sugar is completely melted, stir in bourbon
Enjoy!
Candied Bacon:
Lay strips of bacon on a cookie cooling rack, placed on a cookie sheet and place in an oven preheated to 400ยบ F.
Once bacon starts to brown, remove from oven and bread in a combination of 1/2 cup raw sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar, mixed together.
Place bacon back on the rack and then back in the oven.
Cook until crisp. Allow to cool and then cut into small pieces.
Whipped Cream:
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbls sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Place sugar and cinnamon in chilled stainless steel bowl then add cream.
Whip until stiff peaks appear.
